Gwadar Deepwater Port Project in Pakistan Won Luban Prize
China Construction Industry Association recently launched his first selection campaign of “Luban Prize for China Construction Project” particularly for the overseas projects constructed by Chinese companies. A total of 13 projects won the Prize. Gwadar Deepwater Port Project in Pakistan constructed by CCCC4 is on the list.
The total investment of Gwadar Deepwater Port Project Phase I in Pakistan was USD 248 million. The construction last for five years and was completed on March 20, 2007. During the construction, CCCC4 overcame many difficulties like adverse environment, limited construction conditions, complex management requirements and high-standard technology, and at last completed the construction task successfully by integrating usage of kinds of new technologies and materials and innovated management model. Consequently CCCC4 was highly appraised by the governments of both countries and won great honor for China.
